Plaza Theatre Company is proud to announce the opening of OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS on October 29th, 2010. The production will play Plaza’s newly renovated theatre at 111 S. Main Street in Cleburne, TX opening on Friday, October 29th and playing through Saturday, November 20th, 2010. The show will be the 37th produced by Plaza Theatre Company and the 9th of 10 in Plaza’s 2010 Season of shows.

“Over the River and Through the Woods has long been on our radar at Plaza”, says Aaron Siler, Plaza’s Director of Operations. “Yes, it’s extremely funny and entertaining, but there’s some heart in there too that makes this show something special. We know Plaza audiences are going to love the wonderful message that the show has to offer”.

The play introduces us to Nick Cristano, a slightly smothered Italian-American boy who is about to leave his Hoboken, NJ roots behind to take a job across the country. Throw in Nick’s overprotective, well meaning family and anyone who has ever had to sit through a family dinner will enjoy the results. Over the River and Through the Woods is a hilariously charming comedy that will have you calling home afterwards.

The production is under the Direction of Kevin Poole with Stage Management by Analaura Keith, Costume design by Kara Barnes, Set design by Kevin Poole and JaceSon Barrus, Lighting design by Cameron Barrus, Prop design by Milette Siler and Sound design by G. Aaron Siler.
